Web 2.0 For Dummies

If you read anything on web design and website maintenance, you’ve likely heard the term Web 2.0 thrown around. Is the world wide web getting an lometa livestock auction upgrade? What’s going on?

The term Web 2.0 is somewhat of a misnomer. With software, new versions are released where bugs are fixed and features are added. The web (and the internet as a whole) is not released in such stages. Instead, it evolves intermittently as time goes on. There’s no new version that’s coming out soon. Instead, it is constantly changing. Instead of new features there are new trends. You may have one website implementing a certain feature one week, fifteen the next week and hundreds a week later. The internet is full of trends in technology. What might be popular now may die out (animated GIFs spring to mind), or it may evolve into something better (current blogs have evolved from sites that manually updated HTML web pages).

Instead of an upgrade, Web 2.0 really refers to consulado de cuba en mexico the current state of trends in the web. If someone wants a Web 2.0 website, they may be referring to a website that has a popular style of design, a social component, or uses a specific technology. Or, of course, some combination of those three.

Limiting Perceptions and Broadening Horizons

If you live in modern society I’m sure at some point in your life you’ve sat in a window seat of an airplane looking down at the fluffy blanket of clouds and thought to yourself, ‘Wow, it’s so big and flat, fluffy and soft, I wonder what it would feel like to lay down on that super-soft mattress.’ Well, think about what Socrates, Lao Tsu, Confucius, Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Moses or Mohammed would have thought if they saw the same sight that we pretty much take for granted as ‘normality’. Last night I watched a show on TV entitled, “Limits of Perception” новосибирск авто рынок цены that showed our newly discovered microcosms and macrocosms of life with photography from atomic force microscopes up to the Hubble telescope that looks out into the vast Universe. We can now see below the level of atom, creatures one-tenth of a millimeter long that resemble the monsters of our dreams, and thousands of galaxies grouped together in super-clusters (each galaxy containing billions of stars like our own Sun).

As I watched this show I had to wonder about the way our human society has evolved. I mean, why wasn’t this show seen by every person in our world? Imagine how much ignorance and beliefs to do with why people think they are different from each other would change in an instant. We would all know that we are each made overseas aviation jobs of thirty trillion cells, the same kinds of cells as everyone else, made from the same kind of energy. Wouldn’t this affect the way we treated each other, knowing we are all intrinsically made of the same essence, not to mention that we all come from the same one small home in an infinite Universe of worlds? Wouldn’t this help us from feeling like an isolated species, knowing that every species on Earth is made of the same elements and DNA, and that we are really not alone in space as we are actually surrounded by trillions and trillions of life creating fireball stars?

The funny thing is that I stumbled upon this TV show accidentally, unless of course you believe in destiny rather than random san antonio texas apartments for rent all bills paid coincidence. TV is full of violence and crime

Detours on the Path of Life

The other day I was clearing out my home office in preparation for our upcoming move, when I stumbled upon a download microsoft publisher box of supplies left motorcycle conversion kits over from an old business opportunity efficiencies for rent in hurst euless and bedford I had undertaken several years ago. It was a perfectly fine business opportunity, but it wasn’t for me. купить Motorola RAZR V6 Looking back, I knew even then that it wasn’t right for me, but I had determinedly ignored my inner voice and pursued it anyway.

As I sorted through this box of paperwork and supplies, I felt my face flame with embarrassment how to install motorcycle coil and regret. How could I have been so stupid to think I could ignore my true calling and pursue another path because it seemed easier at the time? Evidence that revealed how hard I had tried to make it work was strewn throughout the box: records of appointments and training classes I’d attended, brochures I’d designed, sales letters I had painstakingly written, and even motivational notes I’d written to encourage myself to keep going.

It’s an uncomfortable feeling, facing a box full of regrets. I thought about all the time I’d wasted on that business opportunity, and wondered where I’d be today if I had just listened to my inner calling from the beginning.

As I began emptying the box and shredding old paperwork, I began to feel a little lighter and my thoughts began to drift. Was the time I spent on
